The Upkeep AI Skill enables developers to conduct comprehensive audits on local repositories without modifying the target repositories. It performs a complete audit pipeline, generating detailed HTML reports to ensure documentation, specifications, and assets are not drifting. This capability is designed for integration with AI coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex.
What this skill does
Checks out the Upkeep repository locally to ensure the necessary scripts are available.
Runs the full Upkeep audit pipeline, which includes discovery, parallel reviewers, and synthesis.
Outputs a comprehensive HTML report, while ensuring that the target repository remains unmodified.
Steps to use:
Ensure the Upkeep checkout at ~/.cache/upkeep:
If missing, clone with git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/wei18/upkeep ~/.cache/upkeep
If present, update with git -C ~/.cache/upkeep pull --ff-only. In case of failure, re-clone it as it is disposable.
Defaults match continuous integration inputs; the report defaults to ./upkeep-report.html.
Set --out flag to output outside the target repo.
