SECURITY TOOLS RESPONSIBLE USE POLICY
**Last updated: 20 July 2026**
Some products sold on mcpcart.com relate to information security — for example, skills covering authentication testing, vulnerability analysis or security auditing ("Security Products"). This policy sets out mandatory conditions for their use and forms part of our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
**Authorised use only**
Security Products are provided strictly for:
- Testing systems, applications and networks that **you own**, or for which you hold **explicit written authorisation** from the owner to perform security testing;
- Education, research and training in controlled environments (e.g. labs, intentionally vulnerable systems) that you are permitted to use;
- Defensive purposes, such as hardening your own systems.
**Prohibited use**
You must not use Security Products to access, test, disrupt or damage any system, account, network or data without authorisation. Unauthorised use may constitute a criminal offence, including under the UK Computer Misuse Act 1990 and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions, and may expose you to prosecution and civil liability.
**Your obligations**
- Obtain and retain written authorisation before any engagement, and stay within its agreed scope.
- Comply with all applicable laws, contracts and responsible disclosure norms.
- Report vulnerabilities you discover to the affected party responsibly.
**Our position**
We sell Security Products for lawful, authorised use only. We do not condone, assist or accept liability for any misuse. Breach of this policy results in immediate termination of your licence without refund, and we may cooperate with law enforcement where unlawful use is suspected.
If you are unsure whether your intended use is authorised, do not proceed — seek legal advice first. Questions: support@mcpcart.com.
