AI Skill for Fact-Checked Public Claims: No Receipt, No Claim
The "No Receipt, No Claim" AI skill is designed to ensure accuracy in public documentation. It requires that each figure, credential, promise, and command in public copy has a verifiable source or receipt. If a claim lacks a corresponding receipt, it is removed, avoiding ambiguity. This tool is intended for use in drafting or reviewing various forms of public documentation, such as README files, release notes, launch posts, slides, or any page with publicly facing content.
What this skill does
Pin one revision: A specific revision is selected and pinned; its commit is documented for consistent recounting.
Maintain one fact sheet: An accompanying `FACTS.md` file is created to hold claims, their values, and their receipts.
Verify each claim: For every draft, the corresponding receipt is identified for each claim. Claims without receipts are deleted and logged.
Recount figures: Figures are recounted from their receipts on the pinned revision to ensure accuracy.
Who it is for
This skill is suited for developers and teams utilizing AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex. It is particularly useful for those engaged in creating or reviewing public documentation who require a rigorous fact-verification process.
Use cases
Developers drafting README files or release notes that demand high accuracy and transparency.
Teams preparing launch posts or presentation slides where precise data representation is critical.
Reviewing public documentation to ensure every stated claim has a verifiable source.
Technical details
The skill uses AI agent-skill capabilities to support public-claims verification. It operates by verifying claims against designated sources or re-deriving them through commands tied to a specific commit. Its integration is compatible with environments utilizing Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex, though it itself does not post or publish content; human oversight is required for publication.
